Singer/Singjay Spruddy One established His reputation as a teenager in a Ska/Reggae group called Court Jesters Crew. The band, better known as CJC, played over 350 live shows all around Europe together with artists like Dennis Brown, Prince Buster, Big Youth, Max Romeo and many more. In ten years the Band recorded four albums, one together with Ska Veteran Laurel Aitken. For nine Years Spruddy DJs the Tuebingen based Soundsystem called Shake-aLeg Hi-Fi, as resident at the famous Depot-Club. Spruddy is Part of the A Tribute to Johnny Cash Showcase. During the last months he has been part of the Soulfood International GOB Showcase, is recording an album and touring trough Germany and Europe, representing his unique heavy roots Singjay style and serving the ladies with Sweet rocking Steady Lovers tunes.

THE MAGIC TOUCH started as a side project of famous German SKA/REGGAE bands YELLOW UMBRELLA (DRESDEN) and THE SOLITOS (BERLIN)! After just a few rehearsals MAGIC ALEX, MAGIC SVEN, MAGIC JÜRGEN and THE MAGIC TOUCH established themselves as a unique live act playing a selection of finest rocksteady and soulful early reggae grooves with an edge: rough and tough! Playing without a brass section musically takes it back to the roots of rocksteady when the soul-inspired vocalists came to the forefront while the riddim started to lean back, driven by two guitars and a bubbling hammond organ and clavinet. After playing support for the AGGROLITES in November 2007, things took a new turn as THE MAGIC TOUCH extended and welcomed former singer of COURT JESTERS CREW (CJC) DON ROCKSHAH aka MAGIC ROGER as a second frontman and MAGIC JO (THE SHEPHERDS) to bring in some bouncy bubbling organ grooves. So right now THE MAGIC TOUCH are kind of an all-star ska band taking it easy on the beat… Rehearsals are sheduled and songs written, so watch out to hear more from the MAGIC TOUCH throughout 2009. Die Sängerin Saralène, gebürtig Sarah Huber, wuchs in dem wunderschönen Städtchen Tübingen auf. Sie nahm dort Ihren ersten Jazz-Gesangsunterricht bei Jane Rudnik. Als nächstes folgten die etwas größeren Städte wie Hamburg und Berlin, wo Sie sich ebenfalls musikalisch weiterbildete, für verschiedene Soundsystems aus der Reggaeszene so genannte “Dubplates” einsang und sich an der Musikschule in Kreuzberg auf ein Gesangsstudium vorbereitete. In Berlin gründete Sie zusammen mit Freunden Ihr Herzprojekt die Reggaeband “sounding”. Weiter führte Sie Ihr musikalischer Weg nach Dresden, wo sie derzeit Jazzgesang bei Celine Rudolf und Nadia Maria Fischer an der Hochschule für Musik studiert. Bei einem Freejazz-Workshop mit Günther Baby Sommer lernte Sie Florian Lauer kennen, mit dem Sie Ihr Duo für Experimentelle Musik gründete “einszweifrei” bestehend aus Stimme und Schlagwerk.

Ob conscious new-roots, dancehall, dub, rockers, reggae, rocksteady oder ska, das SHAKE-A-LEG HifI ist in allen Epochen der Jamaikanischen Musikgeschichte zuhause und genau das macht den Reiz eines jeden SHAKE-A-LEG-Dances aus: man weiß nie genau wohin die musikalische Reise wohl gehen mag, kann aber immer davon ausgehen auf höchstem Level unterhalten und zum Tanzen animiert zu werden! Dafür, daß es nicht allein beim oberflächlichen move-your-ass- Animationsprogramm bleibt sorgen SPRUDDY ONE und DON ROCKSHAH (ehemals COURT JESTERS CREW) durch routiniertes Vortragen eigener Lyrics und Speeches die meist in der Tradition von Roots-Artists wie CULTURE,BURNING SPEAR,GLADIATORS,LONE RANGER,BRIGADIER JERRY und auch BOB MARLEY und PETER TOSH die Zeit und das Sein kommentieren! Zusammen mit Energiebündel, Special-FX-man und MC: THE BIG BOOMBASTIC aka TRIPLE B ergänzen sie sich zu einem Team das es gekonnt versteht jeden dance zum Kochen zu bringen.
