No Retreat is a brand new Anti-Fascist page set up by Street Voice UK to challenge the problem with racism and fascism in the Punk and Oi! scene. Not only that but we also set out to challenge the individuals and bands who are happy to turn a blind eye to the Far Right crowd in our scene. For far too long individuals and bands have been attacked by the Fence Sitters and Nazi’s for what? I’ll tell you what. Their crimes consist of wearing the wrong patch or taking a moral and positive stance on racism and fascism. Yes it happens on a frequent basis and it has to stop! Let’s not play about here. The fascist ideology is based on hate and destruction. They set out to destroy everything that is good and want to replace it with hate. Fuck that! Let’s all stand united to fight that hate. Over time these pages will expose individuals, bands and promoters who want to destroy our scene as well as showing positive contribution from an Anti-Fascist perspective. Yes it is a political page and we pull no punches where we stand. However we don’t expect you to take a political stance. Fighting fascism from a moral point of view is enough!

“No Retreat” ist eine begrüßenswerte und bitter nötige Kampagne aus Großbritannien, die ebenso wie Roddy Morenos “Rock against Fascism” aus dem Bündnis “Get Off The Fence” hervorgegangen ist. Während man sich in der öffentlichen Facebookgruppe von “Rock against Fascism” jedoch hauptsächlich mit der eher unkritischen Eingemeindung möglichst vieler Bands und Einzelpersonen, also der Wiederholung von SHARP mit den Mitteln des Internets beschäftigt, will sich “No Retreat” nicht mit Selbstbeschreibungen und Behauptungen der fraglichen Bands, Promoter und Einzelpersonen zufrieden geben, sondern Fakten präsentieren, die eine Reihe von Bands noch beschissener aussehen lassen (werden) als sie klingen. Beiden Initiativen ist beim Erreichen ihrer Ziele viel Erfolg zu wünschen, obwohl klar sein dürfte, dass aus der Jauchegrube namens Oi-Punk nie wieder ein Badesee wird.
