Via Trojan Records Newsletter war heute von dem neuen Projekt Boss Shots zu erfahren. So ganz klar ist mir noch nicht, was es damit auf sich hat, primär werden die üblichen Worthülsen von “exciting” über “promoting Reggae” bis hin zu “a place where fans can interact” durcheinander geworfen. Letztendlich plant Universal, der Inhaber von Trojan, aber wohl eine Art Muttergesellschaft für die hauseigenen Reggae Labels (bzw. Kataloge, an denen Rechte gehalten werden), zu denen nun offenbar neben den Klassikern (Trojan, Island, Treasure Isle) auch Frontline und Top Deck gehören. Dieser Muttergesellschaft wurde nun eine sehr webzwonullige omepage spendiert, mit allem Pipapo wie Spotify, Twitter und Dienste, von denen ich noch nie gehört habe. Bleibt nur noch abzuwarten, wie gut der content wird, der die News-, Bilder- und Biographie-Abteilungen zukünftig füllen wird.
